Tailnet
Tailscale (hosted) and self-hosted Headscale. Version and policy compatibility follow the documented subset; see the Headscale guide. This is community firmware, not an official Tailscale client.
Installing
Browser installer: desktop Chrome or Edge (Web Serial). Easy Install package: Windows 10/11, macOS and Linux with Python 3 and esptool 5.
Known limits
- The Web UI uses HTTP: administer it from a trusted LAN or over the tailnet.
- Setup and the dashboard offer English, Italiano, Español, 简体中文, Français and Deutsch.
- Throughput is limited by a single 2.4 GHz radio and the userspace WireGuard stack.
- Opening the setup page automatically depends on the phone or PC; the address
http://192.168.4.1/always works.
