| File | Use |
|---|---|
ESP32-Tailnet-Gateway-v3.0.2-factory.bin | New device: esptool at 0x0. Erases all settings. |
firmware.bin | Application image with every Web UI language (English, Italiano, Español, 简体中文, Français, Deutsch) and the W5500 driver: Web UI upload and GitHub updater on 3.x. |
bootloader.bin, partitions.bin | 3.x bootloader and partition-table components. Use the complete browser/Easy Install procedure for a layout migration: it also initializes OTA selection. These files alone are not a complete update procedure. |
Release 2.1.0 firmware.bin | Migration bridge for 2.x gateways: moves them to 3.0 over the network. |
SHA256SUMS.txt, release-manifest.json | Original image/archive checksums and build metadata. For the current Easy Install ZIP, use the ZIP and source checksums. |
| FIRMWARE-LICENSES.txt | Firmware and bundled dependency copyright and license notices. |
| Source code and release notes | Exact sources of this release. |
Advanced flashing (new device): esptool --chip esp32s3 write-flash 0x0 ESP32-Tailnet-Gateway-v3.0.2-factory.bin.

One image
Firmware 3.x ships a single image for N8R8 and N16R8 boards with every language and the W5500 Ethernet driver (experimental, off until configured). There are no separate language or Ethernet downloads.
Updating an existing device
On an existing 3.x gateway, back up first (System → Backup). Upload firmware.bin in System → Firmware or use the opt-in updater; settings are kept and a failed boot returns to the previous image. 2.x gateways move to 3.0 as described in Updating. Devices on 1.13 or older that cannot find updates after the repository rename: see the migration note.
